Key Leadership Appointments

  • Gen (Retd) MB Neokpao, President of GPRN/NSCN (Unification), was elected as Convener of WC NNPGs.
  • P Tikhak Naga, Ato Kilonser of GPRN/NSCN (Reformation), and the Ato Kilonser of NSCN/GPRN (K) were appointed as Working Conveners.

The leadership selections were finalized on January 31, marking a significant step in unifying various Naga political groups under a common agenda.

Call for Unity and Integrity

In his speech, Gen Neokpao reaffirmed his dedication to the Naga political cause, emphasizing the need for unity and cooperation among all factions. He acknowledged the challenges posed by internal divisions but stressed the importance of working with principles and integrity.

He also appealed to civil society organizations (CSOs) and NGOs for their support, urging collective efforts to strengthen the movement.

Highlighting concerns, Tikhak warned against individuals exploiting the Naga political movement for personal gain, emphasizing that this struggle should be seen as a duty and responsibility, not an opportunity for wealth accumulation.

Isak Sumi addressed the gathering, reminding leaders that their roles are rooted in service and sacrifice rather than personal benefit. He stressed that true leadership involves giving back to the community and prioritizing the greater good over individual interests.

The event also included a spiritual message on “Nagaland for Christ” by Rev Dr. Sedevilie Angami, Founding Director of Shalom Prayer Centre, Dimapur. Representatives from student bodies and NGOs shared solidarity messages, expressing their support for the ongoing movement.
