The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light rain and isolated thundershowers across parts of Gujarat in the next 24 hours. The shift in weather is caused by a fresh western disturbance moving across the region.
Rain Expected in North and South Gujarat
Districts Likely to Experience Showers
According to IMD forecasts, North Gujarat districts such as Aravalli, Kheda, Anand, Panchmahal, Dahod, and Mahisagar may see scattered rainfall or thundershowers.
Similarly, South Gujarat districts, including Vadodara and Bharuch, could also experience isolated showers in the coming hours.

Ahmedabad and its surrounding areas are likely to experience partly cloudy conditions. The minimum temperature is expected to hover around 19°C, which is above normal for early February.

Night temperatures rose sharply in most districts, climbing 5–7°C above normal.

This indicates warmer-than-usual conditions for the first week of February.

No Rain Recorded in Past 24 Hours
During the 24-hour period ending at 8:30 pm on February 2, weather remained dry across Gujarat, Saurashtra-Kutch, and the Union Territories of Diu, Daman, Dadra, and Nagar Haveli.
IMD Advisory for Residents
The IMD advises people to stay updated as light rain or thundershowers may occur at isolated locations, particularly in South Gujarat. Farmers and travelers should take necessary precautions during the brief spells of rain.
